Hi St. Pius X all the way from Dunshaughlin, Meath , Ireland . If you want to see our school just go on to Google, street view. It’s a small town so it should be easy to find.
Our school is called Gaelscoil na Ríthe {School of kings in Irish}. We have 193 students in our school, 14 teachers and 8 class rooms.
We have two gardens with sunflower seeds, oak trees and much more. We also have a scarecrow and a bug hotel. About a week ago an Australian came to our school to see our garden. His name was Dale, he was from Tasmania . Oh yea we have a chicken and 5 chicks in the school too.
We have a computer room, library and a playschool, which we call the Naínora in Irish
We made a lot of aboriginal art like a picture of Australia and some animals. We also did a project on Australia which everyone in the class did. We will post a couple of pictures to see what you think.
We play loads of sports such as basketball, olympic handball, soccer, rounders and a different version of Aussie rules called Gaelic football. Another game we play is called hurling, it’s like hockey but you pick up the ball, you should have a look at it on Youtube if you can. Our school team is in the final on Saturday, we will take some photos of the game and post them to the blog.
Here are some questions from 5th Class
